Podfic WIPs & Arbitrary Deadlines
Nov. 19th, 2024 01:02 pmOkay, so at the start of the year I threw a bunch of podfics WIPs into a series and said I was going to try to finish them by the end of the year. I finished one in April for my friend's birthday, and other than that only updated the others one or two times all year.
It's late November. I've mostly finished with ITPE (a little editing left, some treats I'd like to get to) but otherwise, the main thing standing between me and finishing these WIPs is my ability to focus and be consistent with my progress.
SO. I'm going to try to maybe update my progress here as I go?
As it stands:
As it stands, I'm going to try to have something resembling a posting schedule, or at least space out posting a little bit. I have ch 5 of "i walked with you (once upon a dream)" done, but I'm posting some other stuff for a friend's birthday this week, so I'll post that this weekend and use the interim time to try to finish ch 6 & maybe also the next part of "So Wise We Grow".
That's the trickiest one; "So Wise We Grow" is in 2 chapters, so I've decided to split the second chapter into two parts, and post the first one when I finish the first approximate half, and then hopefully use that momentum to finish the second part too. But if not, at least it will have updated after like 3 years. I've got about 5k left to record before that part is done I think!
Do Every Stupid Thing is easy, I just lost all motivation. I'm so close now though that if I focus I can definitely finish it.
A Heart's Revolution might be a stretch goal, but if I can at least get close, I should be able to get it done.
Math says if I can do about 20k per week, I can do this. That's a lot, but also I'm not working right now and it's realistically only 4-5 sessions of recording, so... do-able??? We'll see!
